Javier Perianes joins Orchestra of the Teatro Real and Juanjo Mena at Carnegie Hall on 15 September in a Gala Celebration of Spanish Music performing Manuel de Falla’s Nights in the Gardens of Spain. This concert is his third appearance at Carnegie Hall after his debut in 2016 and return in 2019.

The programme also includes suites from Falla’s The Three-Cornered Hat, Interlude and Dance from La vida breve, movements from Albéniz’s suite Iberia arranged for orchestra, and songs by Vives, Sorozábal, and Nieto performed by soprano Sabina Puértolas.

The event, with the Queen of Spain in attendance, celebrates the far-reaching influence of Spanish repertory as well as the 40th anniversary of the Sister City agreement between Madrid and New York.
