Javier Perianes Presents His New Album, Dedicated To The Figure Of Domenico Scarlatti

The Neapolitan composer, a key figure in Spanish music at the turn of the 18th century, left a significant legacy of keyboard sonatas - now brought to disc by the pianist from Huelva.

A visionary musician, Domenico Scarlatti broke new ground in keyboard composition, blending radiant melodies, lively rhythms, and bold technical innovation. This spirit is vividly captured in the works selected by Perianes, including universally celebrated pieces such as the Sonata K.491 in D major and the Sonata K.466 in F minor, among others. As the label harmonia mundi notes, “Perianes unveils, with as much voracity as virtuosity, the full richness and innovation of his adoptive compatriot’s musical language.”

The album will be available in stores and on digital platforms from August 22, 2025.
